Legendary Italian Tomato Sauce

Here is a 15 minutes recipe that my grandmother made and now I want to share it with you. If you want to cook fast and easy Italian means – this is your secret magic! Legendary tomato sauce!

Ingredients:

  • garlic (2 – 3 pieces);
  • basil (2 branches);
  • pinch of salt;
  • tomato sauce (it can be a homemade tomato sauce or sauce from chopped tomatoes from Waitrose or Tesco. I am trying different tomato sauces so these are just some examples.

Here are some secret tips and ideas about the ingredients:

  • Garlic – you need it to give your dish a special taste and sensation. But if you have issues with stomach acidity or are cautious about the smell after you eat garlic, you need to cut the middle of the garlic and throw it away.
  • Basil – is crucial for Italian cuisine. So it can be handy to grow a plant of basil in your kitchen. Beautiful and delicious!

How to prepare:

Start with putting a bit of olive oil in the pan. Wait a minute before adding garlic. Once garlic became yellow – add tomato sauce. Mmm… feel this smell in the kitchen!

Wait 5 – 7 minutes and add leaves of basil. After a bit, start to mix the sauce. Let it cook for another 7 minutes or so. Taste it to understand if it’s cooked. Italian cuisine is all about tasting.
